I just got a carpet anemone and it's been in the tank for a day... today i noticed one of my GSM clowns (The smaller one, which i think is the wild one) swimming in it.... But he also keeps slamming his head into the carpet's mouth... He also is nipping/sucking on the carpet's tentacles... what type of behavior is this? why is he doing this? is it normal?

From what i understand the the nipping part is normal . The mouth part is borderline suicide. ( but a clown is a clown).

it should be fine....but if your clown goes missing though..... you'll know that the anemone is already fed.
Some anemone will eat the clown... so just keep an eye on them.

Sounds like your clown is suicidal. Get a straight jacket and tie him up hes wako :D

the nipping is just him cleaning it. I know that they need to build up a resistance to the anems sting so maybe the head butting is just a retarded way of doing that

the more i see and hear about what clowns do the more i wonder how they survive in the wild on their own
