I am setting up my 180 and need help with the drain tubing. I am using just normanl tubing you get a homedepot. But I want the tubing to be up against the wall so it doesnt take up as much space. Like if I just let it sit in the sump it is like bent up. So can I use silicone to glue them to the back of the glass of the sump? Here are pix of what it is like now and what I want it to look like

Silicone will be safe to use, but I'm not sure that it will hold the hose well. PVC pipe would be easier to plumb close to the sump wall. Have you worked with PVC before?

you could add a piece of pvc to the flex pipe where it enters the sump, or add it anywhere in the line to make it more rigid, there are many ways you can work with pvc to make the flex pipe to slide over, if the fiting is away from water you can put a hose clamp on.

Silicone would not hold it. Agree on using PVC if you can. If not, you have to get creative to find something to tie the drain lines to.
