I love rare fish and weird morphs. Check this trigger out. This one has become available to me. Anyone know what it is? Thanks, Tim

to me, it looks like pink tail trigger, but with an orange tail, very nice fish.

Is that really a orange tail? It looks like a pint tail trigger to me as well.
Never see one with a orange tail. Maybe it's a bad pic.

judging by the way the green fishnet is in the background,It's practically GLOWING. it's probably more pink than what we are seeing in that pic. I do this work for a living and if you were to set the green color to what it is on most standard fish nets the tail will be considerable less orange.

No the fish has a yellow tail. Also the dorsal and ventral fins are yellow?? It comes from a very reliable source. He doesn't doctor his pics and I know he wouldn't even know how to. So any other ideas what it is? Thanks, Tim

No definately a Melichthys, not a Balistapus. I'm thinking it is a color morph of Melichthys vidua. I still have a male crosshatch which I think is sold otherwise I don't thinkhe would like this trigger in his neighborhood. Thanks Tim

It looks to me Tim like a color morph Melycthys Vidua.

I have a strong feeling that it will lose that color. IMHO if you pay more than $150 for it you are paying too much.

Yes I am sure it will too. We will see if I decide to get it. Tim

Myerst2, I was reading on WWM and the fish you want came up in conversation. Contact Forest Young of Dynasty Marine. May be able to help you out with the Lio.Car. Good luck. dynastymarine.net

This is a juvenile pinktail trigger - they have yellow fins right when they drop in. This is normal, and the color will go away in a couple of weeks.
