Today I headed down to the local SPS joint to check out their selection, and lo-and-behold, they had a couple of the new ORA frags i had been thinking about!
So i picked up a Red Planet table acro, hawkins echinata, and a purple plasma.
I broke them off of their horrid bases, and glued them to some rubble...
Ill have some pics soon, but im pretty darn stoked!
Any advice on placement light/flow for these corals?
Thanks in advance!

Bottom of the tank at first. Until they get acclimated to your lights. I have the plasma. Got it at MACNA for $40! A steal......

my plasma loves super high light,my tank is shallow(16") and i have it right under the light about 6" under water.once its acclimated id put it up in high light and med/high flow
here is my plasma under a 250w 14k aquaconnect/no actinics

Great score ooja3k the guys at F&C have been pulling in the most recent ORA corals. That and a lot of signature corals in there back tank. If you are a sps and zoo person they have an awesome collection.
Here locally we have started a reef club if you are interested please let me know we are are always looking for new members and ideas for the club

you can see a little bit of TN on the Hawkins... When i broke it off the plug, it broke into two pieces, one of the two is glued on the right side and is doing fine, the other (glued toward the back left ) is TN-ing a bit.. Hopefully it stops...

the color on this piece is amazing in person, super green polyps and corralites, and deep purple body...

I just posted a thread on this. I lost both Hawins frags from a recent shipment to RTN when all the other acro species came out looking great. The Hawkins is DEFINITELY more sensitive than most...
