how much of a gap do I need

I'm having my baffles cut and need to know how much of gap I need for expansion for acrylic panels?

the panels will be 17 1/2" long btw

i always take off a 1/4 inch from the width. this leaves about 1/8 on each side to fill with silicon.

If your having them cut why not just get Glass baffles.. Glass is cheaper and silicone sticks to it much better then Acrylic.. Most people use Acrylic so they can cut it their self.
