To make the main tank leak proof you use epoxy paint. To seal the acrylic, you have a ledge that the acrylic sets into. Before you put the acrylic into the "window, put a bead of silicon inside the window let is dry for about 15 to 20 minutes then put the acrylic in to the window. The pressure from the water, will push the acrylic into the window frame sealing the silicone to the wood and acrylic as a gasket.
