View Full Version : White Tube Worm with Red "Feathers"

I was cleaning my skimmer tonight and notice in the round cylinder there were probably at least 50 small worms....about 1 inch in length, and they had a very small red feathery end on them.

I'll try and get a photo tomorrow and post it if necessary.

Since the cylinder is down behind the tank, and I hadn't had it off in probably 6 to 8 months, I hadn't ever noticed them before.

Anyone have any idea what they are?

Tube worms. I get lots in my sump and in my skimmer. They are finally not showing up as much. For a while I was a bit worried because they were covering the skimmer pump and lining the inside of the skimmer. Now, just a few.

Ya...Photos please...........Tubes with red feather things......could be Feather dusters or maybe a small Coco worm......need picks
