Hi All. Question for you. I was going to meet another reefer tonight to swap some zoo frags, and possibly swap a LPS. I was looking for pictures of his tank and found that he had a problem with Brown Jelly about 2 weeks ago on one of his large wall hammers, that killed off about 85% of it. Should I cancel the trade of the zoos or can a soft coral not carry the bacterior into my tank? Should I definitely keep away from trading any LPS with him? I don't have a Quarantine set up.

Thanks!
Pam

you can dip the frag you get from him. although, if you decide not to trade, he should be (or she) willing to postpone the trade. if not... im not sure you want to be trading with that person. but im sure they will hold the frags for you until the jelly is resolved. good luck

you have to look out for yourself becasue nobody else is going to do it for you, if you feel uncomfortable trading at this point just postpone it until a later date. Don't feel obligated especially if your trading with someone who has had a disease in their system recently
