Hi, I have been in contact w/sapphire and have looked at the Tunize.
There is the SR3 protein skimmer sold that fits in the center area for the biocube. It is a venturi style protein skimmer.
All cost about the same but I can get the SR3 right away, as I have no skimmer and currently having to do water changes. The SR3 is to fit in the back area on the biocube 29g.

Any information, ideas?

I really like my SR3 for my biocube, it pulls some good skimmate. Sorry I dont have anything to compare it too, but it definately works well.

Although a skimmer wont replace water changes, I still do 5 gallons weekly.

Thanks,

I can tell you that I have been told by experts that I can get by without a protein skimmer at all if I do weekly water changes of 10-15%.
However, I want to decrease the need for the water changes to less than weekly.
I have a similar CPR BAKPAK up on our 75 gl reef for the past 6 years, no problems. I did not realize the SR3 is made by the same people, along the same design.
I don't use the biobale in the 75 just straight. And, for both tanks DSB with LR. This set up with a smaller bioload makes for much easier reefing.
Hope, that can be of help to you.
Thanks for you response.

i have mine on my 29g bio cube and it took a bit to break in but not its pulling some nasty stuff out of the water. I have nothing to comapre the results to because this is my first nano but it seems to be doing the job.

I have this skimmer and it works great. I upgraded the stock pump up to a maxijet-1200 and I think it skims even better now.
