I have tried searching and searching with no luck.

If you have a BC14 and run a skimmer - what are you running? What will fit in the middle chamber? Tunze?

Measure it and check the specs on the Tunze 9002.

Are you running topless?

Actually I haven't even put water in it yet - hopefully tonight.

The middle chamber is actually a pretty decent size. If I have to cut the hood to fit the collection cup I would consider doing so.

sapphire aquatics maks a skimmer fot the biocube 14. check nanotuners.com

although you cant go wrong with the tunze if it will fit.

Also not sure if it will fit but the CPR SR3 would be a good choice as well.

I cant find any measurements of the 2nd chamber online, so I'm going to measure it later and see exactly what will fit. I'm also considering just notching the rear of the hood and getting a HOB skimmer. Probably wouldn't need to trim much off anyhow, but I'm going t try to find something that will fit in the chamber first.

Anyone know if a Tunze or SR3 will fit? Feel free to chime in.

I'm currently using a modded oceanic biocube skimmer. It skims pretty wet but does get some gunk out nontheless. I have considered the tunze for the middle chamber but I currently use it as a fuge. I think the only thing that will be a problem with putting the tunze in middle chamber is the lip. It will be a very tight fit. The tunze is almost the exact LxW of the middle chamber including the lip.

I can't answer your question, but hopefully you can answer mine.

Does the 14g biocube have a back lid? Is the top hinged or can you lift it off like the 29g?

Thank you!

The biocube 14 rear chambers do not have it's own lid.

OH, so if you use the biocube skimmer- you have to remove the whole top to dump the skimmer cup?

Is the top hinged or no?

Thanks.

it is not hinged but there is a door on the top of the canopy what can be opend which if using the biocube skimmer you could easily grab it out of there without removing the hood

My biocube 14 does not have a door in the back where the chambers are. It has a feeding door up front and then the canopy. When I had the top on, you have to lift up the entire hood to get the biocube skimmer collection cup. Also, if your thinking about a tunze(considering it fit) you would have to go topless.
