It took my clowns 3 months to host their sebae, give it time they will find it, although some never do host anemones its kinda a crap shoot

8 months for mine and there not even really getting hosted. They are now just starting to hang out next to it. Everyonce and awhile I will see them nip at it but thats as far as they go. At night they go right back to the frogspawn. But Im happy at least they are now starting to look. Im thinking that in the next couple of weeks they should be in it but if not oh well I will keep on giving them time.

It just takes time, my clowns found the anemone in a matter of minutes they knew it was there but didnt actually go and host it for 3 months. Just be patient.

on another forum someone recommended that you feed the clowns using a dropper, and once they are used to that take the dropper and feed them right in from of the anemone. He said that it has worked on multiple occasions but still it takes time.

I had to remove the xenia in my tank where they hosted and then they went right into the anemone so unfortunately they may be the answer.

Depending on anemone.
From my experience, percula (true and false) skunk anemone spend less than a minute to jump into my ritteri. It took much longer for them to host bubble tip anemone I used to have.

If you want your clown to host anemone I would suggest thinking about getting ritteri with a very stong lighting upgrade.

He says it is a 10 gallon tank. Not a good idea.

Clown101--what kind of anemone and what kind of clowns do you have? Can you post a picture?

Sometimes it is good that the clowns don't jump right in. If it is a new anemone, it gives it time to acclimate.

It can take months don't stress over it. (btw the clowns are hosted by anemone's not the other way around) I second the "Not a good idea" for the Ritteri. Let see some pics!

I did not think it was 10 gallon tank.
You guys are right that ritteri is not a good option for 10 gallon tank.

If it is 10 gallon then bubble tip might be an option.

However, if you want to keep anemone and clowns together I would suggest upgrading your tank to a bigger one.
