Is this system independent of the main litermeter unit?

I am still waiting on this to arrive but I already have the LM3 main unit and one extra pump module. Does this mean I can get another pump for mag or some other additive?
In the picture it does not look like it goes into the main litermeter module.

I can't tell you for sure - but - you can see from the pic that the pump that comes with that unit has a power adapter attached to it. It wouldn't have one if it were only to be used with the "mother ship". So, I would say it's independent.

The Level Controller is independent of the LMIII. They also sell a top off kit to add top off control to your LMIII.

Sweet! So this means I can get another pump for the mother unit and run some other chemical?
What should I run? Is magnesium worth it?
