How long after i mix it is it still good and does it need to be in a sealed container or anything

Are you using it for topoff? I mix mine into a covered storage bin and that is dripped into my sump for topoff. It holds 25 gals and lasts me about a week.

yes its for top off. my main ? was if it can go bad so to say

I'm not sure if it can go bad long term but, I am sure that in the time (week or so ) it takes to empty your top off tank it won't go bad.

I have had it sitting still for over a week, and the ph was still high, so I am guessing the calc was still loaded in the water well.

As long as it sits covered, undisturbed it is fine. I use a 44G kalk topoff that lasts 2 - 3 weeks and is fine.
