Need to add sand

I need to add more sand to my 4 years old tank.
what kind of sand should I use without having to worry about the tank starting to cycle again ?

Use clean dry sand. Rinse it really good and add it. It will be seeded by the existing sand. It won't cause a cycle because there's nothing on it that will die off. Especially if you give it a good rinse.

Can I just get some play sand ?
