Has anyone out there ever attempted to use a venturi pump as a feed pump instead of doing a mod on the main one to add more bubbles? I am thinking of picking up a Euro reef pump for my DNW octopus...

There are many "combo" skimmers out there. I currently run 2 of my Sicces as flow-through and one as recirc. All are meshwheels.

I am using a Sedra 5000 for the main feed/skimmer pump on my CS8-3+. Works fine.

Thanks for the replies. I know Sicce pumps draw very little power.
Where can they be purchased?

Any pics on your skimmers in action?

See my gallery. Google psk-2500 and you'll find vendors. They aren't sponsors on RC so not going to rankle the mods by posting a link!

This is my Sedra 5000 as a feed/skimmer pump. Notice I have it plumbed outside my sump and coming off of a bulkhead at the bottom of the sump

Hey Ostrow and Freed thanks for the help. This is the easiest Mod yet that I would have to do...
