After finding out the ATO precision module is independent of the main unit it means I can add one more pump to my LMIII. The main unit and extra module will control alk and calcium dosing.

So should I add one for:

1.Mag (even worth it?)
2. Lime water (just do this with ATO water?)
3. some sort of cultured live food (phyto, brine, etc?)
4. Chromoplex or some other micro food
5. Something else that is cheap and effective?

Any ideas would be great!!

The magnesium gets added so infrequently that I don't think it would be worth it. Live food like phyto would be a good idea so wouldn't using it for your top-off but that seems like overkill.

If you could free up two heads you could do an auto water changer =]

I vote for mag... Mag is so overlooked as far as testing goes, and does fall quicker than most think if there are inhabitants that require calcification. Depends what kind of tank you are running, all sps, I say mag all the way.....

Thanks for the info. Is the best thing to just is use randys mag formula?

Are the dow flakes for mag and calcium still safe, rather, has the formula changed any?
