As you can see my anemone is in pretty bad shape. It just started to be like this yesterday. I've had it for about 6 months, which I've heard is the lifetime of a Condy in captivity. It is still stuck to the rock and won't budge. I don't know if it's just all squeezed up or it it's on its way out. I don't want it in there any longer than it has to be if it's dying because it's in an eight gallon BioCube, so if anybody has an opinions on what I should do, please tell me ASAP.

Is it releasing waste? That is what it looks like to me, my Bta does that 2 or 3 times a week.

No, I haven't seen anything come out of its mouth.

Hm ... I believe I have seen Condylactis' live longer than 6 months in captivity ...

Anyways, I'd probably just leave it as it is. Did you just feed it? M BTA occasionally goes through these mood swings where one day it looks fantastic, but the next day it looks like poo. And the next day it perks right back up. Anemone are very simple yet dynamic creatures. I would leave it, and keep an eye on it. The foot it still holding on tight, so that is a good sign.
If you really want to get it off (make sure you have somewhere to put it) trying using an ice cube in a sealed ziplock bag - and rub the the foot of the anemone where it attaches to the rock. This usually persuades the anemone to let go. Be sure however that you do not damage the foot!

Yeah, I fed it about two days ago. I'm hoping that is why it is the way it is. Where you see it now, I moved the rock that it's on up to the top of the tank so it can get light because it always moves to the bottom; should I leave it where I moved it or put it back on the bottom where it was? Although, after moving it to the top for some light, it's tentacles opened up a little bit, which it probably a good thing. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Now it's getting bigger since I moved it! :)
