Mounting 72" VHO Bulbs

Hi -

I'm wondering what the actual mounting distance is for VHO 72" bulbs? In other words, how far apart for the standoffs need to be for a good fit? Any experience would be helpful. I have the encaps and standoffs, but no bulbs yet, so I was hoping to get them mounted.

I have always put the VHO bulbs in to the endcaps/standoffs and put them in the canopy, marked the holes for the standoffs, then remove the stuff and drill small holes to mount the standoffs. That way you can't make a mistake with the distance.
