I leave a light on in my office at night.....it is not directly over the tank but does shine into the tank indirectly.
Would this cause a problem with corals/fish as far as continuous light all day and night?

I did make a plexiglass cover for the side that catches the light and I planned on velcroeing it on at night But if I don't need to I would rather not....

The corals in the wild have moon light so I would not worry.

It's pretty bright... Can't even see my moonlights because of the light. Guess time will tell....

Light stays on in office all night long.

Light shines into tank so much that you almost don't see the blue of the moonlights on the rocks.

Worried that corals won't get a proper photoperiod with so much light getting in the tank all night.

No.... Well, I can turn it off but I leave it on for security reasons.
I think I've got the problem fixed.... I made a U shaped plexiglass cover that slips around the tank and velcro's on the sides, its just a little bit of a hassel.

I wouldn't worry about it so much. The fish it might bother psychologically, but this isn't a concern for the corals. Even though the light may seem bright in the tank, I guarantee that it is not nearly enough to activate photosynthesis in the corals.
