View Full Version : Krylon Paint - Tank Inside Walls

I'm putting a full length coast-to-cost external overflow on my new tank.

In order to hide the silicone 'seal' I'm considering using krylon paint on the interior rear plane.

Has anyone done this ? Is it reefsafe and long lasting even with regular scraping?

Many Thanks

Krylon is a reef safe paint as far as I know, but it does tend to peel off of glass in large sheets.

Maybe someone else will chime in...

I would think the Krylon would peel off when using it inside the tank. If I was doing it I would use a two part Epoxy paint that is used in food preperation areas. Very hard to remove garunteed not to peel off.
