I have a dark red plant-like algae growing. It's hard to get a picture, but it is a very dark red color and growing all over one of my rocks with my toadstool coral on it. It's the rock closest to the light in my 45g reef so I'm assuming moving it lower will help but trying to find out what it is right now and how to control or get rid of it at the moment. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was thinking of getting a purple tang (small) will they eat it?

relax tang police: I'm upgrading to at least a 90g in December, maybe bigger.

lawnmower blenny slowed mine down. Now I just have a few tuffs of it around.

looks nothing like any of these. the only thing even close is maybe the caluerpa but mine is a darker deeper red. I gues I'll just have to wait until it gets large enough for a photo.

any other suggestions welcome.......thanks brdracing
