I'm looking into a pretty good deal for a 230G (60"x30"x30") aquarium, and was wondering how to go about lighting this guy if it ends up working out in my favor.

With this much height, I'd probably go with an ~4" DSB, making the effective height of the water column 26".

Here's my thinking: 2x 250W halides
4-6x 80W T5 VHO Retrofit
These would be mounted with the halides spaced evenly along the center of the aquarium, with 2-3 60" T5s flanking the halides along both the front and back. With this setup, I could also add LEDs for moonlighting in the three open spaces between the halides.

Here are my questions:

- Are 2x Lumenarc 3 Mini Stealth DEs enough to cover this area/depth, or should I go larger (or even a different route since these are tough to find right now)?

- What about T5 coverage in this depth?

- Assuming effective T5 penetration, how many reflectors (SLR) would you go with?

Thanks for your advice in advance!
