It seems anytime i feed my candy canes or other LPS's, their tenicles dont come out for a day or two...

Is this normal?

I think they're all different. Candy Canes and trumpets normally feed after dark, but ours extend their tentacles and eat if I drop something tasty on the polyps. Otherwise they don't extend tentacles during the day. Our Aussie acan lords extend tentacles whenever they smell food in the tank or sense any other disturbance - like when I change water. Our Trachy will extend tentacles first thing in the morning (as it swells) and any time I drop something tasty on it.
