Can you keep Harlequin Shrimp with a Cleaner?

I'm wondering if you can keep Harlequin shrimp with Cleaner Shrimp?

i have 4 cleaner and 1 harlequin and they're great.

scuzy, it seems there's different opinions on this, but i was wondering how often you feed your harlequin?

i give him a chocolate starfish once every 2 week. He's still munching on one of the chocolate starfish that i placei n 2.5 weeks ago.

and the starfish doesn't contaminate the water when you leave him in there that long?

the harlequins will leave the star when it is dead and then it should be removed.
I have two in a 5.5 gallon tank and the star does not polute to much. (weekly water changes)
They are very "friendly" shrimp

What size tank do you plan to house them in?

they are fine with my 2 cleaners. I have a BB tank and just throw in a sand sifting star that way i don't take the chance of the starfish eating corals. the shrimp will munch on the star for quite some time eating of all the legs and leaves the starfish's mouth alone. the funny thing is the starfish still lives to regrow its legs.

2 harlequins and 1 cleaner, no problem so far.

my harlequins eat til there is nothing left in the starfish
they dont leave it there to rot

I have a 125gal that i plan on putting them in. Do they normally go right after the star as soon as you guys put in in?

well he's been munching on this chocolate star for quiet some time and he ahsn't moved form it. So he's till eating it. Teh harlequin is growing too. I can see him shed a few times.

SHould be fine IMO. Harlequins won't attack the cleaners (they eat starfish only), but if anything u run the risk of the cleaner attacking the Harlequins. However, they aren't even like that by nature.
