No Protein skimmer foam?

So I did some work to my over flow/sump and left it off for the night so that the pipe glue could dry. The next day i turned the return pump back on and turned on my skimmer and UV light. My skimmer will not produce foam and the water that is discharged from the skimmer is full of micro bubbles. It's been 2 days and still no foam... before I turned it off for the night it was producing lots of foam. Any idea why this would happen?

Some chemicals leftover from the glue? Try running carbon

Also I left my UV light on in the sump over night for circulation and it only holds about 15 gal. Is there such a thing as to much UV light? The same water went through the UV light 100's of times

Have you tryed raiseing the water level in the skimmer

What kind of skimmer are you running? I have experienced where PVC glue will inhibit foam production for a while.
