Does anyone have any feedback on PFO metal halide ballasts and retro kits?
Thanks,
Phil

I've had a set running for over 2 years now. I'm happy with them, but this is my first set of halides, so I unfortunately have no basis for comparison. The only issue is if anything trips them off, you have to manually shut off the ballast from the switch on the case and wait 10 or so minutes before you can fire them back up again... but my understanding is that this is the case with any magnetic ballast.

I have three PFO Parallel Reflectors suspended over my 300 gal reef. Each reflector currently has a 400W 14K Ushio Halide running on a PFO HQI Ballast and 2 24" ATI Blue Plus T5s for supplemental lighting running on icecap 660 ballasts. I like em.

I have used PFO's MH ballast before and was happy with it. No problems.
