I am considering getting a small urchin for my tank. The tank is 6 years old. Do they last long relitive to a fish? or are they like a hermit and or smail, which dont last too long???

Thanks
Rob

I have some urchins that are about 2 years old.

I also have some 3 year old hermit crabs. and snails.

I think they live longer than people think as long as they are not overcrowded, and the right species for a tropical environment.

They live decades to centuries (as in multiple) in the wild and fare well in captivity, so there's no reason they shouldn't outlive you.
