Any ideas why my 6101 would stop responding to the on off commands...i am only getting a stead stream now. I tried unpluging the aqua surf and when that didnt work i unplugged the ac3 so it would reconnect to my equipment, but still only a steady stream. I also tried switching the din cable with no luck :(

Are the LEDs (on the AquaSurf) flashing? Do manual on/off commands work? What does the status for the pump show (it should be PF1, PF2, etc) and what is your program for the PF from the previous step?

The LEDs are on and the manual commands dont work either

For the heck of it, i changed the programing names and swithced the cable to use 3/4 and i also tried my spare cable, but still no response.

I changed the code to see if that helps...i am using this one at the moment...still no luck

If Timer MH1 = ON Then T61 PF1
If Timer MH1 = OFF Then T61 PF3
Pmp MODE sD for PF1
Pmp Int 030/100 for PF1
Pmp OSC 07/13/00 for PF1
Pmp MODE sD for PF3
Pmp Int 030/075 for PF3
Pmp OSC 07/14/00 for PF3

If the green light does not blink when commands are sent, then neither manual nor auto mode is going to work on AquaSurf. Confirm that the green light blinks. If not check the telephone cord connections, connectors, etc.

the only light i see flashing is #3 It is steadly on/off/on/off

Not sure what LED #3 is but you should have a power LED (far left near what looks like a power adapter plug) and flashing (bright/dim or off when the pump is off) LEDs for each pump (located just above the jacks for each pump).

The pump light seams to me that it shines based on the pump percentage, brighter the higher the pump is on, off if the pump is off, on solid if the pump is on and oscillating, well you get the picture.

the power one seems to stay solid...i was referring to pump led #3 thats going on and off

i just changed the program to see if the power one would change and it did flicker on and off

What is the LED above the pump plug doing? Is it switching bright/dim or on/off? My power LED is solid on all the time (as a reference). I'll see if I can post a quick MOV to show it.

my power is solid unless i send a command

the pump led is steadily on/off....maybe bright/dim...hard to tell

I was looking at some of my old post and looks like i installed the Aqua Surf last October...why stop working properly?

Can u give me a simple code for a single stream to try? I did change some code yesterday...maybe i screwed it up.

You should be able to tell; here is a video of mine. If your LED is bright/dim it should be changing the pump high/low; if it's going on/off the pump should be oscillating on/off.

Never used YouTube so I'm not sure how long before the video becomes available but just in case I droped it on my website here:

This is what I use:

If Timer MHD = ON Then WV1 PF3
If Timer MHD = ON Then WV2 PF4
Pmp MODE sD for PF3
Pmp Int 030/100 for PF3
Pmp OSC 04/08/00 for PF3
Pmp MODE SD for PF4
Pmp Int 030/100 for PF4
Pmp OSC 00/08/04 for PF4

yes, thats like mine

So it would seem its sending the signal but its not reaching the pump transformer

benf

never mind...forgot to add WV2...duh

You gave me code for 2 pumps...does it matter only one is connected right now?

benf

No luck...no change in the pump output even though light flickers like yours

benf

any idea if current is passed along all pins on the plug...i could ck and see if a signal is making it to the transfomer. If it is, then only thing left is the transformer, right?

I meant Driver not Transformer

It sounds like there is no connection (or the wrong plug is plugged into the wrong pump). The port with the flickering lights should be the one connected to the pump transformer.

I don't know the pinouts, you might need to contact Curt tomorrow.

While doing these test, i was just using one pump and tried both leads from the aqua surf and same result from both and i can see the led flash for both pumps on the aqua surf. I just reconnected my 2nd pump and same deal..no pulse and thats a 6201 pump using the newer type transformer.

I think the only thing left is for Curt to let me know if there is a way to test the pins to see if i have an actual signal being sent despite what the lights tell me.

oh,
Thanks Ken!

So, Curt is there a way for me to test the din pins to see if the signal is being sent? The pump lights flash on and off but the pumps are not responding. I am using 2 different pumps with 2 models of drivers. Neither respond!!
