growing xenia?

just wondering,

i had xenia in a reef plug...

when i placed it in my tank, here comes my brilliant
damsel... munched it out of the plug,...

the plug is still there an epoxied to the rock...

today, after 3 weeks... it looks like something is growing there...

is it possible that xenia is growing there?

Yes, It will grow back if there is anything left of the colony, as long as the conditions are right.

i wish it becomes a "weed" in my tank... havent had any luck growing these...

Carefull what you wish for.......
Over time you will get sick of Xenia..

hehehe 4 frags and no success for me!!! hahaha!

now i got a new set of frags, placed them in my sump... hopefully they will live there for me to be able to transfer
some in my main tank

I have gone through a few of these myself, they start off doing fine, they would actually split. After they split, the original would die Eventually the new ones just died out too.
