Lighting Question

I have a question. I have a older model K2-Viper 150w HQI light. I am thinking about making DIY fixture so I can add some more lighting into a Combo setup. I would rather use a single ended bulk than the double ended the Viper uses. Can I change it to a single ended mogul?

that depends on the bulb.. i dont recall if SE bulbs are HQI ballast compatible (or if any are)
