cycle MH lights?

hey RC!

i was wondering ive set up my ap12 SPS tank and have the light and everything its the current usa pendent 150W and that is the only light i am running on it for now, would it be a good idea to put a cycle on the lights like 9-1 then 1-3 a break then come back on at 3-9, any suggestion would be great.

The sun only rises and sets one time a day. Does that answer your question?

One cycle....I run mine from 10am til 10pm....12 hours of metal halide. My corals love it!

yeah i know but there is studies of it on prop fourm, but do you use atintics at all?

i always thought that you only get full light when the sun is at noon and you get less light when the sun is during sunrise and sunset. it would provide more of a natural setting. but just my 2cents
