Easy question, could one run both say phosphate media and gac in an filter?
If so should it be seperated from each other?

yup, it's doable and knew someone who does that.

But I would not do it nor recommend it. As the GAC should be replaced as often( say monthly ) as compared to GFO/PO4 Remover ( 6months up, or depends on the po4 level of your system ).
