I am making a custom canopy and I need a little help with the lighting.
I am going to do Metal Halide lighting with T5 supplementation. Which brands of MH Reflectors are the best. I am looking for the best PAR reading and light out-put possible. The best reflectors? The Best Ballasts? Electronic? Magnetic? The Best Bulbs? Bulb Color?

Thanks for any help

If you have space over your canopy, the Lumenbrights from CoralVue. They do best in 16" of clearance from water to bulb. If not, I'd stick with Lumenarcs.

Ballasts will depend on the bulb. For instance, a 400w Reeflux 12k on a CoralVue eballast is a PAR monster. On an M80 it's a pretty weak bulb. Find a bulb you like the color of, check its par, and try to match it with the best possible ballast.

I want to use a 250w HQI Bulb.. I like more of a bluer coloration. Not too blue, but not yellow.
Do you have any suggestions.
