im planning to upgrade soon to a 265. it going to be a reef mostly sps and i only want to use t5. so for a thirty inch deep tank what would be the best fixture to go with?

I've been thinking of doing a T5 light over a 120 (24inch deep tank). I believe Geissman makes an 8 lamp fixture that is under $500.00 for the 48 inch mod.

I'm really liking the possibility of using t5 rather than halide.

Please let me know if you find any decent reviews / analysis of T5 fixtures.

GL to you.

You'll find some tanks on RC (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1362596) that have experienced great results with ATI fixtures (http://www.reefgeek.com/lighting/T5_Fluorescent/ATI/Powermodule_Fixtures/)

i have looked at the ati units and they are one of my favorites. another question is that i plan on the tank footprint to be 72x36, so i could use two 36 in. fixtures, but those units are only 21 in. wide would that be enough to cover a 36 in. tank or do they make a wider light?

one more question i have is when the fixture says 10x39w the 10 is the amount of bulbs the fixture it holds but what does the 39 stand for?

Definitely going to want individual reflectors. I think Aquactinics makes amazing T5 light fixtures.
