Have in numerous books seen pictures or of Julian Sprung´s tiny reef aquarium. Apparently, it contains an amazing diversity and has been running for many years. Unfortunately, the images have always been of poor quality. Is there anyone that know of any better quality photos of this rather legendary tank or any other nano tank with similar qualities?

Just tagging along. I know Julian was running a 15 gallon before they were called nanos and when everyone thought it was impossible.

I am tagging along too. I remember seeing pictures of this tank in the 90s and was amazed. I bet it would still be impressive by todays standards.

I don't know where to get a pic, but I think Julian Sprung was cheating w/ that so called "nano". If I remember right it's plumbed into a 60gal. sump or something.

That would be a disappointment. I liked the pics of it in "The Modern Reef Aquarium".

They were called micro reefs.

If I remember correctly he had a sizeable sump on that tank.
