Soaking Eco Rock/Base rock??

Quick question, I finally got the closed loop plumbed and have an entirely working system. Fingers still crossed... I have 90 lbs. of eco rock sitting in the basement and was wondering whether I should go ahead and put it during the "leak test." Right now I am just running tap water to flush out the system. I've read of the Dry rock leaching nutrients.

I wouldn't [ut it in the tap water as this could add phosphates into the rock.

I rinsed mine in just pure tap water and everything in my tank is fine. I didnt let it sit in the tap water over night or anything 15 or some minutes
