Just wondering if this is a decent skimmer for a 20g FOWLR. We plan to have corals and such down the road, but for now, Fish only.

IMO the AquaC Remora is a MUCH better skimmer than the back pack. A little more $$ but worth it. I ran one for years on a small reef system with absolutely ZERO problems.

I was actually just looking at the remora. I really like the looks of it. I think I'll get one with a Maxi-jet 1200. I think I'll also opt for the one with a drain fitting.

SnowManSnow, did you use the Filter Box with it as well? I'm thinking I would want the filter box, to make it look a little better. Any opinions...?

I ran a bak pak on my 55 FOWLR for a while and hated it. Never got any real skimate out of it. That is just my opinion though. Coralife super skimmer are good HOB skimmers. I currently run one on my 30 gal reef and just bought a second for my 29 gal reef. You can usually pick a used one up for a good price.

I paid 50.00 for my CSS 125 shipped and 36.00 for my CSS65 shipped, and I found both of them on this site.

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews of the CSS. They are rather large too. We don't have a lot of space behind the tank. The Remora will fit nicely, being only 2.75" deep.
