I've got a similar one. It is different because it has flourencent green eye. It was sold as a lobophyllia but the septa are rather different. Mine seems to have been ecrusted to the substrate (so it goes in favour of being a lobophyllia) but I know scolys can also be attached to the substrate.

I think I should wait to see how it opens.

The fact that we are getting more and more aussi corals make our hobbyst life more complicated but also exciting

I wonder if what you have is actually an acan maxima. Look at this one on reefscience.com http://www.reefscience.com/images/corals/0930/DSCN2546.JPG

Well, A. maxima is often used as a marketing term in order to boost the price of a given item. The fact is, its unlikely that A. maxima even exists in the hobby; it comes from waters that arent (legally) collected/exported from.

If I had to venture a guess, Id say Lobophyllia. Let it grow for a couple of years and repost so we can see what kind of growth pattern it develops ;) Nice looking piece regardless of what it is.
