I am going away for three days and would like to leave the tank lights off to get rid of a little algae. should I leave the moonlights on or turn the tank completely dark? will these cause more harm then good? I have some:

Also just got a coral banded shrimp last week and was hoping that it won't get too hungry to start nipping at things. Before everyone starts in on the mandarin police I want to say that he is trained to eat brine and mysys. And I also do not have the six line anymore.
