View Full Version : What should my wife put in her 20g tank?

So, we have a few snails, and live rock in there now. She bought it to put two seahorses in there, but the female died right away after getting sucked into the powerhead, and didn't live long after that. I think the male basically starved himself to death after that, and finally died last week.

So, my wife is thinking something other than seahorses this time. Perhaps something a little more colorful and interesting. She was considering maybe a school of damsel fishes or something like that. 20 gal seems a little small for that, though.

Any thoughts?

It could even be a single fish - just something pretty and interesting that won't die of boredom being all alone.

Alternatively, we were thinking of putting our two clownfish in there from our 55g to see if we could get them to breed. So, that's still an option for us.

could do a piar of Harlequin shrimp and a couple pipe fish, would make for a cool small lagoon type tank.

When you guys say nem - do you mean an anemone?

We don't have actinic lighting on this tank. So, corals would be more costly than we'd care to undertake, I think.

How about a goby and pistol shrimp for the bottom with some active swimmers up top?
