I'm an idiot. Dropped a small screw from lunar light in 180. Is this going to be a problem?

I would try and get it out if you could. Was it stainless steel?I did the same thing in my tank and used one of those magnetic telescoping rods that auto mechanics use.Mine was new so there was no grease or oil on it.

Yeah I would get it out of there. I had a glass thermometer bust on me inside the tank once and it threw those little beads all over. I ended up using my magfloat to pick the beads up.

There is no chance of me finding it. It's a cheap screw from a lunar light. I'm sure it's not stainless.

The first step is admitting it.. I agree get it out if at all possible. If it fell in the rocks you are out of luck I'm sure. I wouldn't be too terribly concerned. I doubt a small screw has enough of anything to hurt a tank the size of yours.

I'm just gonna try to stop thinking about it. There's really nothing I can do about it anyway.

i'm sure you will be fine, you can try a mag float or a magnet.

I also broke a thermometer with the beads in my tank.

I had a tiny screw drop into a 65G once from a coralife fixture and never found it. Never had problems over the years that tank was set up.
