This is a great thread, thank you for sharing guys, this is a fish I plan on buying when I set up my new tank and it is nice to hear some of the success stories. On a different note Gary, I noticed your Hemitaurichthys polylepis, does it nip at anything and how does it behave towards the other fish and vice versa. Thanks, Felix.

not to get off topic here but my Hemitaurichthys polylepis (Pyramid Butterflyfish) is a passive planktivore. This is a fish that you'd (ideally) want to introduce before any Acanthurus.

Thanks Brain, Gary do you have any recommendations as far as what size to look for. Also what do you feed it, and was it a difficult at first or did it eat right off the bat?

I would guess any size would be fine. They usually come in 3-5", if I'm not mistaken. Mine assault any food that hits the water, and have from the get go. There are reports of them coming in with flukes, so be sure to treat accordingly.
