Yes, I will, even corals.

qt for about 4 weeks minimum, but I'll do 6 weeks, it carry some parasite may not infect the shrimp itslef, but will infect the fish in your main tank. you don't want to take the risk.

do you qt everything for a 4 week min? or are you saying qt a shrimp for at least 4 weeks?

Don't quarantine a shrimp or any invert for that matter, they don't have anything your fish (or corals)can possibly catch (parasite, etc.)

Thats not true. They come in water dont they? That water could have ich or some other parasite in it. It may not be visible because it won't affect the shrimp, but will the fish. I don't QT stuff like that because I know my tank has ich and other things in it. As long as my fish are happy and healthy, there isn't any problems. I do QT my fish for a couple weeks just to make sure they don't have flukes etc. If your really picky and want your tank to be 100% clean, then QT the shrimp for 4-6 weeks. I've seen people getting diseases from not QTing macro algaes before.

usually the parasite comes from any living things from fish, shrimp, corals and live rocks too.

"put 6 weeks" means most of the parasite life cycle are 4~6 weeks, if they can't find a host/fish, parasite dies :)

corals + shrimps + live rocks won't become a host, but it doesn't guarantee the water (from LFS) they from were clean and no disease.

hope this explain better, you can go to the "Fish and Disease" forum to study further, there're tons of information to provide better understanding.
