What Color Temp Bulb Do You Use???

What color temp bulb do you use and why? Please put what wattage as well as a pic of your tank:D

I use 1,000 watt helios 20K bulbs, no actinics, no other light sources besides the MH's.

there are several more colours out there then ones you listed...

12500k, 15000k, pretty sure i have seen 13000k too, and there is a 50000k iwasaki...assuming you are talking about Metal halide anyway...

lots of other variables too..ballast will make a big difference on colour too..type and brand...

personally i have a 150w Aqua Connect 14000k bulb fired by a ARO electronic ballast..

i love the blue of this bulb and the life expectancy is outstanding, Sanjays tests even show that after 18months of use this bulb still performs almost as good as a brand new phoenix bulb..

10k reeflux - 400w on the big tank and 250w on the frag tank. Higher k values are too blue for my taste. I tried 12k and 14k but I always end up dissatisfied and change back to 10k.http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/6247320080810_4-med.jpg

20K Radiums here, although gonna switch over to 250 Watt 20K Helios and give them a try. I personally like the crisp blue color of the Radium's, the extra blue definitely makes the colors pop a lot more.

I use a pair of Helios 20K on my 150G. Im still trying to get use to the blue look. I may go back to 12K Reeflux when its time to replace lamps again.

I'm using a 20k Coralife, 250w on the stock ballast for the Outer Orbits. I was looking for a stronger blue, like the Ushios, but got this unused from a local reefer on a trade. It's a huge improvement over the stock 10k bulb, but still not quite what I want. Here's a somewhat old FTS pic, my camera does wash the photos out a little:

Edit: That is a Potter's. This is a temp. tank until the 65 has aged a bit more.

i use 12k reeflux on PFO mag ballist. all mounted in luminarc mini's. 10" off the water with two 48" VHO supplement.

tank is 72"x22"x18"
