Couple of pics/vids for you guys. Got 2 new triggers this past weekend. A larger Lei (aka Boomerang) Trigger from an LFS out in Palm Bay, and a Sargassum from member tangers here on RC.

The Lei is currently in my 55gal QT, doing great, took to hand feeding on the second day. Probably is a bit over 6" in length. Could be a bit fatter (a 6" trig should be as thick as a novel IMO), but that's what QT is for.

The Sargassum is about 4". Since he was removed from tangers tank, with all of the fish in great health, I didn't feel the need to QT this one. A bit shy like all Xan. triggers on introduction.

Hopefully I will get some pics of the Sarg, out in the display tonight. Slowly adjusting. Him, my Blueface Angel, and Naso, all shared some nori last night, after some scuffles at first. Of course he choose to hide in the Blueface's cave, and he's identical in length and almost body shape to the Naso, so he'll didn't give the kindest welcome either.

Hmmm, bout time you got a Sargassum:D I love the "hand shots" btw...We see people asking for the "FTS", I'm gonna start requesting the "HS", it gives good size perspective.

Thanks guys! Yea, will be fun to watch the Lei grow. He's already at least 6" (16cm).

Danorth, do you happen to know, what, if anything the colors might mean? Going by fishbase, I wonder what the final coloration will be? I thought the was the gray/white? (3rd pic in the link) http://www.fishbase.org/Photos/ThumbnailsSummary.php?ID=6029 . Also going by their sizes, the first one with the bright yellow scythe, is 10cm, while the one in the second pic, is only 8cm, and has a completely black scythe?

Is there a sexual, or maybe regional difference?

Kirk, "HS"'s for sure. ;) Though, the hand in the pics isn't mine, it's my brother (I'm taking the pic), he's actually 6'4" 320lbs+ (former offensive lineman), so it's more of a 'bear paw" then a hand, so it won't be that accurate for general comparison. :lolspin:

The color is just a mood thing.....not related to size. When happy it goes yellow, when tense it turns brown it seems.
