Hi, is it possible to hook the controller up to a macbook pro? I don't think there is a serial port? Can it be hooked up to usb or wireless?

Thanks
Mark

as far as i know, there is no MAC support.

Ive tried a few different windows application launchers for MAC with little to no success.

I was using the USB card installed in the profilux.

Ok, you have to decided if you are going to go the freeware route or paid route.

Freeware, you'll need 3 parts.
1st part is Xcode 3.0 or higher installed
2nd download and compile wine.
3rd Profilux package, (not the installer, an installed version)

Payware (it's wine compiled for you)
1st You'll need to buy Crossover
2nd Profilux package, (not the installer, an installed version)

not sure what you mean by installed version versus an installer. dosen't the installer install the software onto your computer? neil

I tried Crossover but could never connect. I was using a usb to serial adapter though and may not have had a driver I needed. I ended up just getting a old pc laptop that had a serial port and thats working now. I would like to see how I could go about connecting it to my Mac since I already have Crossover lol

The installer will not work with crossover, you need an installed version for it to work, give your email address, will mail you what I mean.

LORIN, Sorry I never got back to you on this . But it was the beginning of the busy season for me and I really wasn't ready to start setting up my Profilux at that time. Since then and partly due to the present state of the economy , I have more free time ! I have set up my Profilux and the probes. I am having trouble using the buttons on the controller and would like to use my Mac to program the unit. I'm hoping that using the Mac will allow me to program things more easily. If you can send me the installed version i would appreciate it greatly. ONE MORE QUESTION THOUGH, Will I be able to install future downloads or firmware updates later or will I always have to rely on getting these from someone else as a installed version? Please send to Subshop@frontiernet.net . Thanks again for your help. Neil
