BIOS upgrade

I have firmware 4.00 and software 4.0.0.3. (wireless)

I have a laptop that has never been used with PF.

AllProfiLuxII_V404.zip - I have this firmware .zip

and this software...

ProfiLuxControl II_V4030.exe

CAn I install this on laptop - then connect via serial cable to PF?

Can I use USB to do firmware update?

Will I have any version issues?

First never mix and match firmware to software, always must match

Second yes you can do updates via USB.

I can't seem to get firmware upgraded from 4.0.0.4 to 4.0.1.0.

Using USB or RS232 - 4.0 or 4.0.3.0 software.

What am I missing

It reads file then has upload error.

Hi read the release notes regarding this in the thread Matthias placed you have to have the software installed first after 4.0 is installed

I guess it is the common mistake:

you did not confirm YES on the ProfiLux as it is mentioned in the message box which appears before the download

you can go directly from any version 4.x to any 4.x

Are we talking yes in software or on unit itself?

Additionally could you point me to PDF for WLAN config?
