Looks like some kind of snail, probably safe. Post in the invert forum, LeslieH will ID this for you!

looks like a chiton to me, but Id have to see the top of it to confirm. Does it look like it has a hard shell on top?
Mine is a lot bigger but the bottom looks much like that.

If it has a hard shell on top then its a Stomatella varia which is a cross between a snail and slug. These are good for the tank, if not then to be safe I would remove it.

It does look like a chiton. Take it out of the tank and get some top down shots for confirmation.

it looks like it could be a limpet or chiton to me. either way, it's a harmless grazer.

Leslie is an amazing invert ID'er, but asking her or anyone else to ID a mollusc from a bottom-of-the-foot pic is a pretty tall order. It does look to be a chiton, though, but that's about as close as you'll get to an ID without additional pics.

Cheers,

Don

i had a couple of them. if it has like a shell on top of it and its a darker blue color take it out but if the shell is just like a tan color its good

It's probably a good guy even if it's blue ;)

Looks like a limpet or chiton to me.

Limpet will have one oval shaped shell that is coned in the center.

Chitton will have more of a multiple plate looking shell. If its a chitton be careful pulling it out, they can break pretty easy. Well...at least the ones I collect out of the ocean can.
