Yellow Tang compatibility

I have a 70 gallon tank with a yellow tang and have heard that adding new fish could be tricky...Any suggestions on what to add and proceedures? My guess is another tang isn't a good idea.

take out the yellow tang if possible for 2-3 days while the new fihs gets acclimated then add the yellow back in...

my yellow is mean. I wouldn't add another tang at all. You could try to move some rock around to break up territory along with a couple days lights out when adding the new fish or try to remove him for a couple days as rob sugested
