Does anyone know if the AQ software will work with linux or if there is a linux version? I could not really tell from the AQ website.

I think not at this stage. The PC software requires:
Windows 98 SE OS: or higher. with at least IE5.5

No they don't intend to do either Mac or Linux support.
Just get a used $200 Windows laptop and dedicate that for the controller.

Does AquaStats not work on Unix, Linex etc? That's Mr's World.

Correct me if i am wrong, but you could have.
A system with a seconds PC to do updates etc and then use Mr31415 AquaStats on your Linex to log, graph, etc.

Indeed - AquaStats runs fine on Windows. Linux as well as Mac OS X. But you will not be able to write to the controller.

I run my controller fully functional on my Mac OSX using parallels (win XP) Works great, BTW I am also running the ethernet module connected to an airport express on a full mac network
